Testimonials

Jane Markovic has been working with my high-functioning autistic son for two years, supporting him through two child-care courses. Both the courses and Jane’s fees are being fully funded through his EHCP. In the first year Jane greatly helped him improve his English and, thanks to her very effectve tutoring, he passed the Level 1 course and, now in his second year, he is progressing through Level 2.

Jane is an exceptional tutor. She is very understanding of my Son’s challenges and has guided and supported him through the course content in a way that worked perfectly with his abilities. Jane has been very supportive of me and has also liaised well with the headmistress at the local pre-school where he doing his work placement.

I have been delighted with my son’s progress and achievements thanks to Jane and thoroughly recommend her.

“Thank you for all the support this year, it has been truly invaluable.

The way I write, read, study, structure my time is all off the back of things you have suggested or used in practice with me. I’m very grateful for all of this, and so glad I was smart enough to use the hours I have allocated for your time.”

Monique (BSc Podiatry) August 2022

“Jane started supporting me for the final four months of my Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy. She managed to attune herself to my needs quickly and we developed an enjoyable productive working relationship. She adapted well to the subject matter and the understanding of the approach to data analysis for my dissertation. This was invaluable in helping me navigate the seemingly insurmountable task of organising my thoughts enough to produce a final document by my deadline.

My struggle to overcome coping with dyslexia in relation to this level of academic writing had left me quite overwhelmed by the work I had to  complete. But I found Jane’s patience and positivity helped me overcome a lot of self-doubt by assisting with how to structure the workload in a digestible form that did not overwhelm me and this meant that I was able to achieve my goal to complete my MA, for which I am forever grateful.”

Scott ( MA Art Psychotherapy) September 2020

“Jane has been the greatest support throughout my post-graduate nursing diploma.  She has helped me to develop organisation and study skills as well as guiding me through the skills I have needed for assignments.  Jane has helped me prioritise my workload and reduce my anxiety towards the things that I find challenging as a dyslexic student.   I feel that Jane has adapted to my needs and enabled me to work to the best of my ability.  She is really kind and makes the sessions fun, they always go really quickly and I look forward to them.”

Charlotte (University of Southampton)

“I have just completed a postgraduate degree in adult nursing and Jane has been an asset to me in achieving this qualification. Jane was originally suggested to me by another colleague who was extremely happy with the help she was receiving.  She was willing for me to have two hour lessons with breaks when I needed them to allow me to process information. My lessons with Jane were tailored each week to what I required at that moment in time, ranging from spelling and grammar to critical thinking and writing, essay editing skills, presentation skills and skills in writing job applications and personal statements.

Jane is a kind and friendly person who I would highly recommend for anyone needing support with their studies whether this is at school, college, university or postgraduate studies such as mine.”

Rachel (University of Southampton)

“Jane’s 100% dedicated approach boosted my confidence, which impacted postitively on the quality of my work.

Her approach is to guide, encourage and support her clients at their own pace, and according to their individual needs and circumstances.  Jane’s vast experience is invaluable in every aspect.”

Cheryl (Open University)

“Having been a student of the provider for three years now, and now upon completion of my degree, I am very happy to recommend their services to other students who need help. They strived to ensure that I excel in my studies, and they worked with me to make sure I am confident with what I have written. I feel that I have improved hugely since using this service, and I cannot thank them enough for all of the support and advice they have given me over the past three years.”

Lauren (University of Chichester/Brockenhurst College)

“I have found Jane very supportive, Jane has been able to help me plan my assignments and she has a good way in reframing questions so that I am able to understand the expectations.  My written work has improved with her coaching and I am always encouraged following each session.  Jane is supportive whilst being empowering.  Jane is flexible to meet my needs as course pressure points impacted my learning.”

Kate (University of Hertfordshire, Masters in Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion)

“Jane is an outstanding English Tutor. Jane has taught my 16 year old son English Literature for several years and has delivered the full end to end iGCSE curriculum (as he is home educated due to being dyslexic), and she has helped him to achieve a great GCSE result.

I asked my son how he would describe Jane’s tutoring in his own words for this reference and this is what he said:
‘Jane is patient, highly talented, good at problem solving, highly knowledgeable and very nice’. “

Julia (Parent) August 2020

“I enjoy coming every week.  Jane teaches me new skills that will help me inside and outside of school and we do activities that are fun and interesting. I have learned how to remember letter sounds and patterns and practised new typing skills. “

Shauna (aged 13)

“Working through my ideas for my coursework with Jane has helped me to focus my efforts more specifically, while gaining a deeper insight into the text.  Being able to channel my ideas has allowed me to visualise my previous mistakes and learn from them, whereas previously I was unable to see how I could improve. The sessions have greatly improved my analysis skills and have allowed me to put a greater emphasis on multiple interpretations, which has pushed me to improve my grade.”

Craig (A Level English Literature student)

“Jane really helped me to understand the poetry for my GCSE, she was very patient and took time to go though the texts in a lot of detail  I found this to be most helpful as I was able to learn without pressure.”

Sadie (GCSE English Student)
